安陽桂花產(chǎn)于安陽郊區(qū)龍泉花卉之鄉(xiāng)。該鄉(xiāng)山清水秀，風(fēng)景絢麗，尤其金線河兩岸土壤肥沃，適宜栽種花木。魏晉時(shí)已開始種植花木，距今有1800年歷史。龍泉的桂花為全國之冠。它的特點(diǎn)是葉小而尖、節(jié)短、葉稠、坐花穩(wěn)、開花多、花朵大、香味濃郁、凌寒不凋。安桂分金桂、銀桂、月桂、丹桂4個(gè)品種，安桂是用小葉冬青和流芳做砧木嫁接而成。當(dāng)年嫁接，當(dāng)年開花，棵體矮而秀麗，風(fēng)姿獨(dú)特。若把一盆安桂置于室內(nèi)，其香味四溢，沁人肺腑，令人賞心悅目。據(jù)傳，清乾隆四十四年(1779)，龍泉花師趙日貞在北京賣花時(shí)，花香飄數(shù)里，飛鳥棲枝，行人駐足。乾隆皇帝將趙日貞召入宮中，盛贊龍泉桂花的風(fēng)姿和郁香，隨即選中一株，封為"安桂"，并賜銀50兩。從此，龍泉桂花聲譽(yù)大振，聞名國內(nèi)外。

This place has cultivated plants from Wei and Jin Era about 1800 years ago. The osmanthus fragrans in Longquan occupies the head position in China, whose characteristics are with small,sharp and thick leaves; short knobs; many, big, fragrant flowers which won't wither in cold weather. Anyang osmanthus fragrans includes 4 breeds and is transplanted by Ilex ficoidea Hemsl and Liufang.
