修武黑山羊，又名太行黑山羊，豫西北山羊，國內山羊名優品種。這種羊大多為黑色、銀黑色，體大毛長，善爬山，耐粗飼，適應性強。 
    
    修武黑山羊來源于蒙古山羊，絨多，皮毛粗長，公羊角扁大，母羊角小多伸向后上方。體軀大，近長圓型，結構勻稱，堅實結壯。深山區的羊只較淺山區體型為大，有較好的適應性和生產力。
    
    21世紀以來，由于保護不力，修武黑山羊數量減少，品種純度降低，面臨滅絕的危險。為了加強對太行黑山羊品種的保護，焦作市畜牧局今年以來采取多項措施，加強對太行黑山羊的保護，并拿出一萬元資金用于保護工作。修武縣畜牧局積極按市局要求，及時采取有力措施，保護太行黑山羊品種。



 

Xiuwu Black Goats

    Xiuwu black goat, also called Taihang black goat or black goat in the West Henan, is a famous quality variety in China. Most of this breed are in black or silver-black color, with tall bodies and long hairs, good at climbing and not picky on food, and have good adaptability. Xiuwu black goat mostly comes from Menggu goat. Goats in deep mountains are bigger than those in shallow mountains, which also have better adaptability and productivity.
      
    However, after the 20th century, due to ineffective protection, the quantity of this goat breed is declining and the varietal purity is lower and lower year after year. They are facing with the danger of extinction.
