《九蓮燈》又名《對花燈》，是流傳在鎮平縣的一種比較優秀的民間舞蹈。關于《九蓮燈》的起源據說與明末清初的“白蓮教”有關。20世紀40年代以前，跳九蓮燈的演員都是由男子扮演。男扮女裝，仙女打扮。有時上身穿紅大襟布衫，下穿藍褲子，頭上飾古裝女子發式；有時男子打扮頭系白毛巾，身掛銅吵鈴，走起來一片丁當響。蓮花燈是用白紙糊成，上邊噴灑紅顏色，沒有弦樂伴奏，只有打擊樂和嗩吶伴奏。所對畫面主要有“二龍戲珠”、“蛇脫皮”、“長城”、“八仙飲酒”、“劉海戲蟾”、“船”、“橋”、“鵲天橋”、“大棗山”、“金香爐”、“金鉸剪”、“七星勺”、“石牌坊”、“傘”、“寶塔山”、“弓”、“倒卷簾”、“銀花”、“婦女迭布”、“龍掉掛”、“鳳凰尋窩”、“芭蕉扇”、“黃河”、“琉璃井”、“大雁飛”等，主要字面有：“十”、“土”、“王”、“大”、“天”、“夫”等30多種。��
     
    20世紀五六十年代，演員都由女子扮演了。在音樂的伴奏上，除原來的打擊樂和嗩吶外，加上了戲曲上用的大弦。內容上更加豐富，畫面有：“照妖鏡”、“木匠解木”、“鳳凰雙展翅”、“梯田”、“葵花”、“飛機”、“水渠”等50多個畫面，字面有“元旦”、“三八”、“五一”、“七一”、“國慶”、“天安門”、“日”、“月”、“豐”、“田”等30多個。��
    
    全舞共分四個部分：下凡—觀燈—對花燈—留戀人間。由九個仙女每人各持四盞蓮花燈，擺畫面、變隊形，利用蓮花燈巧對畫面。��
   
    該舞于1957年參加了河南省第三屆民間音樂舞蹈匯演，榮獲一等獎。多年來，屢次在中央、省地、文化主管部門舉辦的民族民間舞蹈匯演中獲獎。2009年被列入河南省第二批省級非物質文化遺產項目名錄。
 

 Nine-lotus Lamp
 

   
     In the very beginning, Nine-lotus Lamp is a religious ceremony held by Taoist priests. Later, it is developed into a folk artistic activity which gets rid of bad things of feudal dross, absorb democratic essence so that it becomes an excellent folk dance. This dance is relaxed, vivacious, graceful and lyric. It reflects joyous emotion of the young girls in Lantern Festival when the dance is like a fluttering fired Long with creative spinning skills and crossing formation. The dance learns playing manners from Puxian Drama and the music is adapted from local folk songs and Puxian Drama tunes, thus the dance Nine Gates Lights is full of thick folk flavor. 
     
    Nine-lotus Lamp develops from the story of eight Gods offer birthday felicitations to the highest Goddess. It has very strict standards in lanterns, dressings, gestures, dance movements. From 1949, this dance made big innovations in content and play forms, such as there is no district on the number of players any more; players make up themselves, wear colorful coats and trousers; the content of libretto should make up with the current affairs and so on. Nine-lotus Lamp develops from the religious activity Chenghuang God Go Outside in Tomb-sweeping Day in ancient times. Nowadays, it has been recognized into a mass playing group accompanying with lion lanterns, waist drum, colorful boat and other forms.
