段村鄉石門溝大牛心柿,是澠池縣的一大特產,它以個大、肉細、汁多、味甜而著稱。平均單果重250克,最大的重480克,無核或少核。脫澀吃脆酥利口,烘吃汁多甘甜,曬制的柿餅質地軟,糖度高,別具風味,吃起來軟甜可口,往往使人有食后復思的欲感。將柿餅放入涼水中攪拌,能化成柿漿,可和蜂蜜媲美。據先輩傳,這種柿餅在清代曾被作為貢品進奉朝廷。近年來又試銷國外,頗受歡迎。
大牛心柿,被列為全國優良果樹品種之一。其狀牛心,皮薄味甜,故稱牛心柿。幼樹栽培后4~5年開始掛果,20年后進入盛果期,單株產量150-250公斤,10月中旬成熟,杏黃色。原有大樹(包括石門溝以內)3700多株,分布在海拔500-700米之間的黃土丘陵區山坡梯田地和河溪沿岸。
Mianchi Big Ox-heart Persimmon
Big Ox-heart Persimmon is a national excellent fruit variety, which is ox-heart shaped, thin-skinned and sweet tasted so that it is called in this way. It is a specialty in Mianchi County well-known for its big bodies, fine and smooth sarcocard, succulency and sweet taste with no or few nuclear. It can eat in various ways: if deastringented, it's crisp; if dried or warmed in the fire, it's succulent and sweet; if made into dried persimmon, it is soft, sweet and aromatic. Put dried persimmon into cold water and stir, we can get persimmon pulp which is equal to honey. It's said that this dried persimmons have ever regarded as tributes in Qing Dynasty. In recent years, they are tried to sell to foreign countries and are well welcomed.
