仰韶黃杏，因果實如雞蛋，俗稱雞蛋杏；成熟成，肉核自然分離，搖之有響聲，又叫響鈴杏。因產(chǎn)于我國仰韶文化之區(qū)，故定名為仰韶黃杏。仰韶黃杏是澠池人民在長期生產(chǎn)實踐中精心選育的名優(yōu)果品。此種杏樹，在本縣的適生面積達30萬畝以上。鮮果和加工制品，均受到國內外市場的好評。1985年6月，全省大杏鑒評中，參加鑒評的32個品種，澠池仰韶黃杏以91.94分獲得第一。仰韶黃杏，果實為橢圓形，果皮與果肉橙黃色，陽面有紅暈，果形大，平均單果重70克，最大單果重110克。果肉厚1.3~1.8厘米，肉、核重量比值為1∶0.44~0.48，肉質細韌，纖維少，酸甜適口，芳香濃郁，汁液豐富，制成的糖水杏、杏漿等均屬上品。制罐頭易操作，去皮性能良好，利用率高，成品質量好。
       
    1987年在鄭州舉行的全國罐頭評比會上名列前茅。仰韶黃杏，結果早，盛果期長，嫁接后3年開始掛果，10年進入盛果期，一般單株可產(chǎn) 400~500斤，盛果期在40年以上，百年的大樹仍可產(chǎn)100斤以上。同時，仰韶黃杏抗逆性強、易管理，具有抗干旱、耐瘠薄、適應性強、病蟲害少、投資小、收益大等優(yōu)點。近幾年來，已有山東、河北、山西、甘肅、陜西、江西、云南、安徽、黑龍江等10個省市引種試栽。國家曾作為珍奇樹種，贈給馬尼亞的友好使者。
