太康縣馬廠集北靠渦河一帶，盛產鴨蛋。殼呈白色、青白色兩種，蛋清細白而嫩，蛋黃呈紫紅色、血紅色。熟食味香適口，營養豐富，在豫東享有盛名。　　　　
    
    溯渦河而上，自李中口村距馬廠7里；順渦河而下，至劉橋村距馬廠11里。在這兩村之間,特別是距馬廠較近的渦河中，長有多而厚的雜草，內有很多的小紅蝦米和小海螺，鴨子吃了不但產蛋多，而且蛋黃是紅色。馬廠的群眾采用傳統技藝將鴨蛋腌制，此鴨蛋暢銷于周口、許昌、商丘、亳縣等地。　
    
    現在馬廠的養鴨業，較前有了很大的發展。除農戶分散飼養和飼養專業戶意外，又在馬廠東二里郭莊村建立了一個3000只的養鴨場。馬廠鴨蛋的上市量，將有大幅度的增加。



    Taikang County produces duck eggs in a large quantity. This kind of duck eggs are called Red-yolk Duck Eggs, which have white or bluish-white skin, white and tender egg white and aubergine or blood-red egg yolk. They contain plentiful nutrition and a good flavor and enjoy a high reputation in the east of Henan Province.
      
    Taikang County is along with Wohe River, where grows plentiful red shrimps and sea snails which can make ducks lay more eggs with red yolks. These duck eggs are well sold to Zhoukou, Xuchang, Shangqiu and other places after salted. Nowadays, with the development of ducks industry, more and more red-yolk duck eggs are produced and sold to other areas.
