柿樹原產我國,屬柿樹科柿樹屬落葉喬木。據后魏《齊民要術》記載:“黃柿出洛諸州”,柿樹在滎陽有兩千多年的栽培歷史,因種植歷史悠久、品種繁多,其果肉金黃、透亮柔軟、含糖量高、鮮嫩脆甜,享有“滎陽柿子甲天下”之稱。是河南省的柿樹之鄉,1993年與河陰石榴一并被評為鄭州十大歷史名產。
1993年統計,滎陽市農柿間作15萬畝以上,共有柿樹113萬株,其中結果樹50萬株,一般年產1.5萬-2.5萬噸,高產年時可達5萬噸以上.主要產于市南部山嶺區的賈峪、崔廟、喬樓、劉河、廟子、高山、汜水等八個鄉。種植品種,澀柿主要為水柿、灰柿、八月黃、豬皮柿;甜柿為“日本富有”、“日本次郎”、“松本早生”和“湖北羅田”等八個品種。
柿子含有較豐富的胡蘿卜素、維生素C、葡萄糖、淀粉、蛋白質、脂肪和鈣、磷、鉀、多種元素,其維生素C、糖含量比一般水果高1-2倍,營養比較豐富。曬成餅,每5千克柿餅相當于4千克標粉或4.3千克大米所產生的熱量。《乾隆.滎陽縣志》記有:“今滎蚩蚩之眾,為資生口食計,種柿者十之九,棗梨者十之一”,由此可見柿子又是一種較好的木本糧食。入藥,能治胃病、止血、解酒毒,對降低血壓、軟化血管、治療冠心病有一定療效。柿霜糖又對咽喉痛、口舌生瘡有很好的作用。其木材質堅硬,木紋細致,是制作機械、工具、家具、手工藝品的上好材料。其葉含有大量的維生素C與蘆丁、膽堿、黃酮、甙等成分,制成柿葉茶飲用,可降血壓、軟血管、治療冠心病有一定療效。其延伸產品為柿餅、柿脯、柿霜糖、柿蜜酒、柿子醋、柿子醋飲等暢銷國內并出口至日本及東南亞。
長期以來滎陽柿品一直暢銷全國,供不應求。為此滎陽市根據豫西農業綜合開發和省農業廳水果帶開發會議精神,決定在“九五”期間,把柿樹作為主要樹種,規劃建立萬畝柿子生產基地,并配套搞好產后系列加工,滿足全國各地對這一傳統名優產品的需要。
Xingyang Persimmons
Persimmon tree belongs to Ebenaceae, Diospyros and deciduous tree and has been cultivated in Xingyang City for more than 2000 years. Xingyang is the hometown of persimmons in Henan. Xingyang persimmon is regarded as the No.1 for its long history, large varieties, golden sarcocarp, high sugar content, soft and sweet flavor, which was evaluated as Zhengzhou ten historic and famous products with Heyin Pomegranate in 1993.
This fruit is a treasure from head to foot. Persimmon trees are hard, fine and smooth, which are superior materials to make machines, tools, furniture and handicrafts. The leaves can make tea which has distinct medical effects. The fruits, full of rich nutrition, are regarded as good woody grain and made into medicines. Besides, they can be processed into dried persimmons, persimmon frost sugar, persimmon vinegar, etc, which all sell well in domestic and foreign markets.
