名貴中藥材。牛黃即牛膽囊結(jié)石，性涼，味苦甘，有清熱、解毒，定驚功能。內(nèi)服治告熱、神志昏迷、癲狂、小兒驚風(fēng)、抽搐等癥；外用治咽喉腫痛、口瘡、癰腫、療毒等癥。牛黃多結(jié)生在瘦弱的牛膽囊內(nèi)，自然生成極其鮮見。1981年5月縣醫(yī)藥公司、縣科委對全縣35頭牛進行人工種植牛黃實驗，1982年從1頭牛中去除牛黃3克，人工種植牛黃成功。陶灣鄉(xiāng)前鋒村農(nóng)民姚恒家養(yǎng)1頭10月齡黃牛，1981年5月接受人工種植牛黃實驗，至1983年11月土瘦如柴，失去了耕作能力。1985年5月9日該牛滾坡死亡。剝后從中去除牛黃兩塊，鮮重309克，干后重175千克。經(jīng)有關(guān)單位鑒定，該牛黃品質(zhì)甚佳，為河南省發(fā)現(xiàn)的特大牛黃。



 
    Luanchuan Artifical Big Bezoars are precious Chinese material herb, which are gallbladder stones in the bodies of cattle. It has medical functions of clearing heat, detoxicating and calming people. Bezoars often grow in cattle' gallbladders which are produced naturally and rare seen. The farmer in Qianfeng Village, Luanchuan County, Yao Heng fed a cattle which received cultivating bazoar artificially in 1981. When it died in 1985, people got two bezoars which were the biggest ones in Henan Province.
