燎花乃安陽市(舊稱彰德府)傳統點心,久負盛名,而以錦泰店制作的最為優良。據清嘉慶《安陽縣志》載:"錦泰、鋼泰之燎花均甚馳名"。至今已有二百多年的歷史。
燎花,屬南方糕點。據傳清代時,浙江一位吳姓糕點師傅上京謀生途中,因病滯留安陽,經當地人悉心調理得以康復。他有感于安陽民風淳厚,便定居于此。并把制作燎花的技藝傳來。燎花一出,深受歡迎,使南點在北方扎了根,歷經二百余年不衰。
成品燎花,造型美觀、面色金黃、剖面潔白、狀如蜂巢、外撒對絲、浪似蓼花,故又叫蓼花。落口香甜酥脆、軟綿易消化,營養豐富,老少皆宜,被視為節日聚餐珍饈,饋贈親友佳品。

Liao Flower is a kind of southern dessert. It’s said that in Q ing Dynasty, there was a cook, Mr. Wu, coming to the capital from Zhejang to make a living. But he got ill in Anyang and finally recovered thanks to the indigenes. He was moved by the people’s benevolence and decided to settle down and spread his skill of making Liao Flower. This kind of dessert is so popular with customers that it set its root firmly in the north and lasted for more than 200 years.
Liao Flower has a very nice appearance with golden color, white sections and honeycomb shape. The waves on it like polygonums so that it’s also called Polygonum. Tasting sweet and crisp, it is very easy to digest and contains rich nutrition. It is always regarded as a good choice for holiday dinners and friends.
