“唐莊白蓮”是河南省名優土特產品，以“ 藕斷絲不連、隔夜不變色，營養豐富”享譽南北，曾列為清代宮廷御用膳食佳品。
      
    由于具有特殊的土壤特質，“唐莊白蓮”素有“藕斷絲不邊，隔夜不變色”的美譽，且富含礦物質，微生素，口感清脆甘甜。唐莊白蓮鼎盛時期全鄉種植面積達 5000多畝,后來受品種老化、重茬病等因素影響，白蓮的產量、質量和效益有所下滑，綠波蕩漾的蓮池漸成星光點點。
      
    近兩年來，從培育鄉鎮特色產業、增加群眾收入的角度出發，我鄉積極恢復白蓮種植。成立了“國強白蓮合作社”，改良優化品種，引導群眾蓮魚共養，提高經濟效益，同時為蓮農提供技術、銷售服務，白蓮的種植面積逐漸得到恢復，全鄉已發展到近2000畝。如今“唐莊白蓮”已經通過了國家有機蔬菜認證，獲得了國家有機蔬菜認證證書。
      
    今年唐莊國強白蓮專業合作社，連片種植唐莊優質白蓮200畝，統一種植、管理和經營，從選地、整地、施肥、放水穩池、選種下種、田間管理、收獲、留種等各個種植環節上，都采取無害化有機栽培技術，目前已喜獲豐收。
      
     社旗將重點打造唐莊白蓮這一品牌。一是采取“合作社+農戶”的模式，全力擴大種植面積，明年連片種植上千畝，爭取3-5年內實現連片5000畝的產業規模；二是積極向上爭取白蓮基地項目，以項目為支撐，改善基礎設施，促進規模膨脹；三是提升產出效益，積極吸引客商投資興辦白蓮加工企業，拉長產業鏈條，促進產品增值，該項目已與西安客商簽訂合作協議，與農戶簽訂租地合同800畝。
      
    如今，唐莊白蓮也“穿”上了精美的包裝，提高了品位，成為城鄉人民春節期間饋贈親朋好友的時尚禮品。我們下一步的工作重點是打響“唐莊白蓮”這一品牌，擴大規模，開發蓮制品。利用我鄉位于省道之上的交通便利優勢，發展“農家樂—蓮鄉行”旅游項目，讓群眾都來發蓮“財”。

    In its peak, there were as many as more than 3,333,333 square meters being planted lotus roots. However, later, its yield, quality and benefit decline influenced by aged varieties, diseases and other reasons. In recent years, Tangzhuang Village recovers lotus roots' cultivation and reshaped it with beautiful packaging so that Tangzhuang Lotus Roots raises its status and has been a good choice for sending for others as gifts.
