寶豐酒因產于寶豐而得名，是河南名酒之一。該酒釀制歷史久遠，據考證可追溯至春秋戰國時期，一說創始于夏禹時期的儀狄，至今相沿已長達4100多年。可見其歷史之悠久。該酒雖歷史久遠，但直到宋朝方興盛。幾經興衰，傳承至今，產量不斷增大，知名度不斷提高，遠銷東南亞。原酒出口量全國第一，成品酒出口河南省第一。

In the terms of its origin, it can date back to Chunqiu and Zhanguo Era according to researches. It's said that it is created by Yidi in Xiayu Era over 4100 years ago.
