比干是中華民族婦孺皆知的忠貞梗直的高尚人物，對他的高潔人品，人皆有“高山仰止”之慨；對他的悲慘遭遇，人皆有“替身以欲其生”之心。他為歷代有為帝王祭祀和敕封，為歷代文人竭力贊頌，他在民間傳說、通俗藝術中被民眾塑造成圣潔無暇的完人楷模，公正的賜予者、萬民的護佑者。多年來，以祭祀比干為中心宗旨的，群眾性、大型綜合性文化活動，持續不斷，影響深遠。加之比干為7000萬之眾的林姓太始祖，而林姓后裔在***僑界的勢威聲隆，衛輝市比干廟的“比干祭典”也綿延不絕、規模日隆的。比干祭典，又因比干的人品及被刨心后一度“無心”的特有狀況，而被演化為“文財神”和“主財神”，更為歷代商家、百姓所尊崇，包含著極為豐厚的民族文化基因。

After the Emperor Taizong feted him with the most solemn ceremony and set fixed rules, Bigan's Fiesta develops into a folk traditional custom gradually with a good reputation all around the world.

This spirit arouses a series of folk customs and ceremonies. Bigan's Fiesta is actually a cultural sediment in relief, which possesses profound historic and academic values on researching Chinese national characteristics.
